It always surprises me that some Listing Agents don’t “bother” to host Open Houses. In our community here in Glastonbury, CT hosting an Open House is really a critical marketing opportunity. And no, the seller does not need to bake cookies!

You’ll notice a sign indicating that visitors are requested to sign in. One reason is I always enter my visitors into the William Raveis annual contest to win a trip to the Bahamas! I also email buyers to offer them the opportunity to subscribe to our William Raveis HOUSING NEWSLETTER. But that is it! I never annoy people with loads of emails. I do send occasional email postcards but they always have the mandatory unsubscribe link. Truthfully, the last thing I want to do is email someone who is not interested in getting emails from me – I know everyone’s time is valuable and that includes mine!
Other items you’ll notice is a slide presentation on my iPad with photos from the property listing, printouts with all the Multiple Listing Service information, property disclosures, maps, a recent copy of the William Raveis HOUSING NEWSLETTER for the Glastonbury Market, and for visitors who are not covered by a Buyer Agency Agreement with a co-operating Broker, some information about me!
